The simple answer is a big YES! Long gone are the days when it was possible to find work teaching internationally just because you’re fluent in English. These days the vast majority of employers require teachers to have a 120 hours TESOL certification, and it’s usually a red flag if you come across a job application that doesn’t ask for any qualifications or experience at all.

Our online TESOL certification is self-paced. This means you’re able to study in your own time and at your own speed.
Our 120-hour online TESOL course will take most people around two to three months to complete, working at a comfortable pace. But it’s all about the time you have to devote to the course, meaning it’s possible to complete it quicker or take your time with it!
It’s quite simple actually! Choose the course(s) you would like to sign-up for, fill in all your information and make the payment. Once the payment is received, you will receive a welcome email to the email address you provided when signing up, along with the course details and a Zoom meeting link. Our batches start every week, so you will know which is the earliest batch you will join. Attend the welcome meeting with our Canadian trainers on the first day, get acquainted, clarify any questions with the trainers, and you have started your course!
Not to worry! Contact us by email at [email protected] and tell us exactly what happened, and we will guide you through the steps. If you made a payment and signed up for the course, but didn’t receive the welcome email, please send us an email with a screenshot/picture of the payment confirmation and your full details. We will reach out to you within 48 hours of receiving your email, and resolve the issue.
Both! We have our main TESOL Master Course offered both as an in-class program, and an online program. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, in-class programs have been suspended in Turkey, and hence only online programs are being offered. Our other programs are online for now.
Sure! The course is conducted in modules, with all the course material and assignments sent to you by your tutor at the beginning of the course. All you have to do is study the course material provided, watch the instructional videos, attend the weekly online Zoom lessons (for online TESOL), complete your assignments, and email them when done. Your tutor checks the submitted assignments, provides feedback, and you move onto the next module. The final exams are conducted live via Zoom by your tutor, and it’s as simple as that!
The good news is that our TESOL certification does not expire. However, if there’s a bit of a gap between getting certified and applying for jobs it’s advisable to ‘top up’ your qualification. Not only does this serve to refresh your previous studies, but it also helps to boost your CV by furthering your training.
Being able to speak another language isn’t necessary for TESOL. While it can certainly be beneficial to speak the local language when living and working abroad, it’s not needed for the job because only English is used in the classroom. Your entire TESOL training will be conducted only in English by our trainers in Canada.
No previous teaching experience is required to get started in TESOL. The global demand is so high that there are plenty of entry-level positions to be found that don’t require previous experience.
None whatsoever! You can teach English at any age, and while it’s important to remember that some countries (particularly in Asia) do have upper age limits, don’t let that put you off getting started in TESOL. You just need to be aware of those countries that have strict retirement ages.
You can find thousands of TESOL jobs online. There are number of large jobs boards specifically for TESOL jobs, such as Dave’s ESL Cafe, TEFL.com, ESL Base, and Ajarn.
